Wine as a sustainable legacy:
this is the museum's commitment to the future
The Cariñena Wine Museum not only pays homage to the past; it also looks resolutely to the future. And it does so with a firm commitment to sustainability.
From its architectural rehabilitation with eco-efficient criteria to its daily practices of responsible management, the museum aims to be an example of sustainable tourism in a rural environment.
The design of the exhibits incorporates recyclable materials, energy-efficient LED lighting and digital displays to reduce paper. It also promotes the use of public transportation and active mobility, and encourages partnerships with local producers who work under ecological criteria.
But sustainability is also educational: the museum offers workshops and contents that explain how wine and land can coexist in balance. Here we teach people to appreciate wine as part of a life cycle that takes care of the environment and respects those who live there.
“There is no future without awareness,” the museum team points out. “That’s why we want to inspire every visitor to value and protect what makes this land special.”
